AID FOR FARMERS
MORATORIUM ON FARM TAXES.
DEMANDED BY AGRICULTURISTS
(United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph— Copyr: ght)
OTTAWA, November 15.
A Dominion moratorium on farm taxes is being demanded by agriculturalists in Ontario and Quebec, who demanded that a portion of the baev-to-the-land funds be used to aid farmers, as well as immigration funds. Backed by prairie wheat growers they will seek the National Marketing Board to control th|e shipments of farm products, despite the Premier’s refusal. They are still agitating that the dollar shall be linked to the pound, declaring that, otherwise, the benefits to Canada from the United Kingdom conference treaty will be lost.
