DRINK POISONED
POLICE ARREST BROTHER.

SYDNEY, November 15
George Champion, ship’s steward, has been arrested on a charge of endangering the life ■ of his brother, Charles Edward Champion, aged 30, a recent arrival from New Zealand, by causing him to consume cyaniae.
The pair attended a city theatre last night. Charles told the police that his brother l>ought a bottle of lemonade during the interval, and brought it into the theatre, and from the bottle Charles consumed about half. Then he became ill. Detectives ascertained tlfat the lemonade contained cyanide, and they arrested George Champion to-day. Detective Arnold, giving evidence, said, the brothers had recently qflinrtelled. Charles possessed a lot ot money, and George had only a few shillings. „ , The accused was remanded till November 24th.
