Though the British Wool Federation made po official statement concerning the Commonwealth wool inquiry report cabled yesterday, it is . understood all the leaders of th e industry in Yorkshire are opposed to any attempt at price - control- , : : The biggest importers doubt whether the price control recommendation will ever be put into operation. It is further stressed that ' the prohibition of exports i s only possible in a country enjoying an absolute monopoly of raw material.

Opposition to attempts at price fixing is generally Shared by other European consumers.
