THE HOKITIKA CLUB
THE ANNUAL MEETING HELD.
The annual meeting of the Hokitika Cricket Club was held last evening when Mr C. J. King presided over a. good attendance. It was decided to enter one senior and two junior -teams,, the .Kiwi team members indicating that they wouldi play ..with thiev Hokitika Club. :

Officer severe elected as follows: Patron, Dr. Wilson; president, Dr. Childs; vice-presidents, Miss 0; Devaney, Messrs E. Bade, H. Steele, P. Devaney, W. Miaiekay, W. E. Williams, W. Keller and Henderson; secretary, Mr F. Stapleton; Selection committee; captain, , vice-captain and secretary, committee, _ v; Messrs J. Walker, A. Adamson, and officers ex-officio; delegate to sub-Association, Mr T. C. J. Reese. ■
It was decided that the subscriptions be reduced to os and juniors to 2s 6d, last 'year’s outstanding subs, to be reduced to the same amounts if paid by December 31st. The delegate to th'e sub-Association was instructed to support (a) that the Southern. Association does not affiliate with the West Coast Association this season; (b) that an endeavour be made to arrange a rep. match if suitable with Mr Newman’s team from. Nelson; (c) that the points for the competition be three, two and one respectively. .; * ' • It was decided to place on Tecord the Club’s appreciation of the services of Mr C. J. King : to the Club and to cricket in the district in general during his long association with the sport.

ROBERTS; FOR LANCASHIRE.
CHRIS-TOHURCH, November 15. A. W. Roberts, the Canterbury and New' Zealand representative cricketer,' has accepted the offer to play for the Church Club, in the Lancashire- Cricket [League. His engagement at present is for one year. Roberts will leave for .England- in company with W. E. Merritt and I-. B. Cromb, on March 10th next.
