HOPE OF CONCRETE RESULT.? Wellington, November 9. Some time ago the Dominion Council of the League of Nations Union .sent a cable to .Mr Arthur Henderson, president of tiie Disarmament Conference, sharing his disappointment at the results of the Geneva Conference, and expressing the hope that ‘the next, meeting would achieve, ..i least, Mr Hoover’s proposed reduction, and urging ail intensified appeal to public opinion to keep on demanding world peace through "’sarinament. A reply has mow been received from Mr Henderson, in which he states : 1 am trusting that this second phase of tike Conference will produce a great harvest of concrete results, for I feel confident that none of the delegations can fail to recognise the grave responsibility which i s laid upo-n the Conference, and upon the bureau of the. Conference now in session. I believe it m our duty to make a supreme effort to achieve the full purpose for which the Conference was .brought about.”
