ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES
GIRL ELECTROCUTED. ♦ (Per Press Association — Copyright.)
INVERCARGILL, November 9. May Jeannette Chalmers, aged 16 years, died at her home at Lochiel, near Winton, this afternoon, as the result of receiving an electric shock. It appears that she was on the roof, cleaning the spouting and she slipped. She threw out her hand to save herself, and apparently she touched an electric power wire, and collapsed on the roof. Artificial respiration was carried out for over four hours, but without success.
