WINDING UP OF FIRM,

In the Equity Court, Mr Justice Harvey, on the petition of a creditor, made an order winding up Pacific Industries, Australasia, ’Limited, which is registered at Auckland, and js holding land s at th e Bay of Islands.
ABATTOIR STRIKE CONTINUES,
SYDNEY, November 8
The abattoirs strike at IHomebush, Sydney, cabled yesterday, continues. The firm involved is the Rogers Meat Company.
To-day the firm discovered that five hundred carcases of mutton kill e d yesterday by the employees of other carcase butchers, had been gravely mutilated, it is believed deliberately, in dressing. 'Steps will be taken to pievent a repetition.
THREE fishermen drowned
ADELAIDE, November 8
Three men were drowned near Cape Spencer. There were fishing in a dinghy, which was swamped. The bodies have 1 not been recovered. The victims were:—E. Gambling, aoed 56: L. Templar, aged 50; and R. Walsh, aged Do.
