GENEVA, November 8
The Huraiu of the. Diaanvvnment Conference, with the sole .exception of Japan, has accepted the principle of an international investigation into national armaments.
It will be open to any Power that suspecting another of exceeding its limitations to complain to the Permanent Commission, which, if necessary will initiate an inquiry.
The United States lias made its acceptance of the principle conditional on a really satisfactory measure of disarmament.
Other Powers made reservations, but they stressed thd acceptance of control was another step towards a settlement of Germany’s equality claim.
