At the mile Free Advic© and Roi L’or led from Red Shadow and Glerirossie. At th© half mile Free Advice was beaten. Royal iSilk, Red Shadow, Roi L’or and Glenrossie were leading well bunched. Harold Logan was then 12 sulkies away and not considered to hav© -a hope. With a wonderful burst of speed he then came up and cut the field down a 3 if they were standing, getting in front a furlong ..from home to win by two lengths with Glenrossi© second just in front of Roi L’or and Red Shadow a neck av ay fourth. Harold Logan received a wonderful reception on returning to the birdcage. The tim©s were4.l6 2-5 ; 4.20 3-5 ; 4.22.
Harold Logan has thus won the Cup two years in succession.
