NOT WANTED.

CHRISTCHURCH, November 7. < “A good man to have out of Die way just now;” That was how ChiefDetective Carroll described Frank FRzwilliamSj alias “The howl,” when lie appeared at the Magistrate’s Court;, before Mr H. A. Ydutig, S.M., this morning. Fitzwilliains, who is a showman, years* o’f was charged with being an idle and disorderly person, in that he habitually consorted with reputed thieves. The chief-detective said that accused was one of a type that loitered in Christchurch during Show Week. He had been under observation every day since, his arrival some days ago, ana all , his associates had been thieves and undesirables.
“Give me a chance,” said Eitzwilliams, pleading “and I’ll guarantee. I’ll n'ever hit Christchurch again.” ‘ He was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment' with hard labour.
