LINESMAN ELECTROCUTED

INVERCARGILL., November 6
John . Aubrey, Leyden, 27, married ({’ linesman employed by tlio Southland Power Board, was killed this morning by electrocution at the Board’s substation ut Wuiton. Deceased was about to commence repairs to a high tension .line, and an extension ladder aparently fouled the line, the current travelling down the wire on the ladder to Leyden, who was standing at the foot of the ladder. Death was instantaneous.
MOTOR CYCLIST INJURED
AUCKLAND. N ovember 6
A fracture of the skull and other grave head injuries were received by a motor cyclist, Alfred George Alderton, aged 27, a single man, as the result of a collision between his machine and a motor car in the city to-day. Alderton was taken to the Hospital in a very serious condition.
MAN GORED BY BULL
’.BLENHEIM, November 7
Fred Rairker, of Lower Wairau, a farmer, was gored by a bull on Saturday afternoon, the -animates born penetrating his chest. He is making good progress in hospital, and his condition is not believed, to be serious.,
FOUND DEAD,
NAPIER, November 5,
Colin Greenaway M’Lennan, a married man, aged 27, was found dead at his home this morning with a rifle clutched in his hand. It is said that he was depressed over financial matters and was not in good health.
BODIES FOUND AUCKLAND, November 5
The body of Christopher King, aged 58, a married ran • wit]i a wife and three children, of Vermont Street, Ponsonby,' was found floating near rue Northcote Wharf yesterday afternoon.,
In company, with Roy Goldwnter. aged 23, of Victoria Crescent, Newmarket, King left Auckland last-Satur-driy morning on a fishing trip to the upper reaches of the Waitemata in the 12 t open boat Biddy., On Sunday morning the boat was found floating unside down in Tuttle Shoal Bay. Wreckage, consisting of the mast, boom and jib sail, with fishing lines entangled in the rigging, was found on Tuesday. It was presumed that the boat had been caught in a-squall.
Shortly after noon to-day a second hotly.'' that. of Gold water, was found floating near Point Chevalier.
