PETITIONER FOR DIVORCE

AUCKLAND. November 5.

Frederick 1 Holmes, bootmaker, who petitioned for a divorce in the Supremo Court yesterday, went home in a depressed* state at the end of the uncompleted hearing of the case, which ■was defended,’ and this morning was found (dead from the. effects of gas poisoning. When the Judge, barristers, anti jury reassembled this morning, Hie Honour conferred with counsel and directed that the jfact and date of the petitioner’s death be noted on the papers. The jury were then discharged. The inquest was opened and then adjourned.
