(United Press Association—By ElectricTelegraph—Copyright)
LONDON, November 2.
Two prisoners who -asked for “dock briefs” at the OK Bailey yesterday were surprised to find that the counsel they had selected were women.
The men 'walked from the dock to make their choice from a large number of (barristers in wig and gown. “I’ll have that gentleman with the glasses,” said the first man, pointing to Miss Venetia 'Stephenson. “That is not a gentleman, but a lady, and a very efficient one,” commented the . Recorder (Sir Ernest Wild, K.C.). His companion then made his choice. “I’ll have that man,” he said, and (there' was much laughter when he pointed to Miss Helena Normanton. \
((“You have both made a wise choice,” said the Recorder.
