DENOUNCES ANTI-GOD CAMPAIGN WORK iNSPIRED BY DEMONS. (United Press Association— 3y Electric lelegrapt—Copyright.) (Received this day at 8.35 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 31. A Pastoral Letter Avritten by the Archbishops and Bishops of the Roman Catholic Church in Scotland, and read 'in the Scottish Catholic Churches on Sunday, denounced the Communist campaign “of hatred of God and mankind.” It says that the power behind the persecution is no chance outbreak of fury against the church, but the relentless Avorking out of a system, centred in Russia, and aiming at a universal anti-God campaign. “To accomplish this, they Avill stop at no enormity, and Avill not shrink from drenching the Avorld in blood, or grinding the entire human race ,in appalling misery.” The letter refers to the preternatural genius of the organisors of the campaign which is inspired by demons. It says that Moscoav’.s most skilful agents recently launched in Great Britain the same shocking uprising against religion and God, the effects of Avhich are already apparent.
