WATAROA SPRING SALE. At the annual spring sale, held at the. ,abpv.fi yards on Thursday last there was a representative attendance of buyers The yarding which was quite a unique on € comprised first class [Hereford lines, dairy heifers and various non-descript sorts which met with quite unexpected competition and low condition cattle sold well. There was restricted bidding for big cattle o which there were two very toe pens. Top price for steers in forward condition was £7 12s 6d, vHeifers to £7 7s 6d and cows to £6 15s• A line of two year old empty dairy heifers made to £4. . W. Jeffries and Co. 'report that of a total yarding of 413 head, their entry of 188 head were all sold, the following sales being made.—For M. Carroll 6 bullocks a t £7 10s, 2: at £5 12 S 6d. For J. C. Christiansen 8 two-year heifers at £4, 8.-at £3 7 S 6d, 9at JB3 ss, 3 at £ 3 2s 6d, 8 steers at £3 17s 6d, 8 at £3 10s, 10 at £3. 2s 6d. For W. Scott 14 steers at £5 12s 6d. For E. Cron’s estate 8 fat and 'forward steers at £7 12s 6d, '9 at £7 2s 6d. 4 fat and forward heifers at £< ss, 4 at £7, 3 light steers at. £4 2s 6d 2 light heifers at £4 ss. For F. Heveldt 2 steers at £4 ss, 5 heifers at £2. For F Black 13 2-year steers at £2 10s. 2 yearlings at £L For J. Bergman 17 2-year steers at £2 17s 6d.
