WEDDING BELLS

OLSEN—MARKS

The wedding took place at Christchurch on Wednesday of Margaret May Marks, only daughter of Mr and Mrs Thomas Marks, late of Hokitika, and John Francis, only son of Mr and Mrs Olsen, of Half-Way Bush, Dunedin. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. J. F. Jack, of the Clarence Road Church. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of Lido blue celanses, cut on long classical lines, with a double flared frill falling to the hem, and finished with touches of fawn. She wore a felt hat to tone, and carried a bouquet of white tulips, friesias and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaid, Miss Florris Marks, niece of the bride, wore a frock of pale apple green crepe de chene, with a felt hat to tone, and carried a bouquet of pink roses, tulips and mainden-hair fern. Little Marjorie Marks was flower girl. She wore a frock of blue crepe de chene and lace, and carried a basket of pink flowers and fern. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Jack Marks as best man. On leaving the church, the bride was presented with a silver horseshoe by little May Marks, niece of the bride. The breakfast was held at the residence of the bride’s parents. Mrs Marks, mother of the bride, received her guests in a frock of black embossed satin, and touches of fawn and a hat to tone. The bridegroom’s parents were unable to be present. After the ceremony, Mr and Mrs Olsen left for their future home in Dunedin, the, bride weaving a navy serge costume, a. Lidc blue milita. \ coat, and a small close fitting hat to tone.
