The msyor gave’, notice % move “That in view*-, of the extifi cost of, living caused by the high prices for the necessaries of life, any resolutions now on the ■ books of the Council,• fixing the rate of -wage*, he rescinded, and that the wages of all men employed by the Council be increased from 9s (now paid) to 10s per day.
