FOR RETAINING INFORMATION. REGARDING INDIAN TERRORIST (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) CALCUTA, October 27. A collective fine of six hundred 1 sterling has been imposed by the Bengal Government on the inhabitants of the Chittagong town of Pahartali. It was the scene of a recent terrorist outrage. Seven surrounding villages are alsc included in the fine in consequence of a failure on the part of their Hindu residents to give the Government information regarding a terrorist whom the Government susp 'coed them to be harbouring and assisting.

The realisation of the fine is tc be postponed until December 1, to see whether the action of some prominent Hindu inhabitants in forming associations to aid the Government to track terrorists will prove effective.
