Kumara Sdhool. —Thfc repairs to the boys’ out offices and the installation of a concrete urinal has been completed during the month. Humphreys’ Teacher’s Residence.--As instructed, I visited this residence >«d with the chairman of the eo.nm.ttee, looked into the matters applied for. From the committee’s point of view the i verandah is the most important of these requirements. The chairman informed me that he had been in th’s residence on a rough! day when the rain was beating in both windows and door. Thirty yards of netting ®nd • a few rails are required to make the fences secure from- wandering .stock. There are no wash-tubs at th : s residence and the teacher asks that a set of tubs Ibe installed. There is no fuel eifyed ; a small lean-to could be attached t 0 the wash|honse for this purpose. Ro.ss Teacher’s ‘Residence.—The spouting'’ and downpipes 'have rusted away and will have to be renewed. A portion of the weatherboarding on the northern, wall is badly decayed and should f>e renewed. Several new rails are required on the front fence and minor interior .renovations. While at this residence tine teacher complained fbht the wash-tubs were leaking badly. Qn ir sneering same T found' thpm to be badly decayed and beyond repair. •A new set of concrete tubs arc required with inecessary waste pipes. When Jtfheve repairs are carried out this residence should be painted.
