WOMAN KILLED. TWO CARS INVOLVED. (1 'er Press Association— Copyright ) . AUCKLAND, October 23. Fatal- injuries were received by an unidentified woman, who is believed to have been struck by two motor-cars, on the Great South roacl, near Green lane, at 7.20 last evening. The woman who was middle age and ’well dressed, lied nothing in her possession to identify her. No missing persons .had been reported to the police this afternoon. The. accident .occurred at. the top of a slight hill, and according to one of the drivers concerned, John Newscme. the woman was struck by a car travelling a little wav ahead of his sedan, and thrown directly in his path. Newsome’s car. struck the woman heavily, throwing her toward the centre of the road. Tt is reported that the second car did not sto-i, and the efforts of the no!i-e to trace its movements, or to identify the owner, have so far proved unavailing. The woman received severe injuries to her head and had both legs crushed. She died while, on the way to the Auckland Hospital. DEATH OF CARRIER. AUCKLAND..
