At thei Stadium to-night, in a twelve rounds bout, Ambrose Palmer, 12st lib, outpointed Clyde Chastian, 12st 91b. This was Palmer’s first appearance since July when he was stopped by Stribling. Chastian, meanwhile has won every, contest he has fought here since hjs arrival from America.
Palmer, to-night, was full of vigour and most aggressive, and was much too good for Chastian whose defence was useless against tliG speedy Australian. Chastian was down for seven in the sixth,. and his eye was cut in the seventh and bled freely. He was severely punished in the clinches, but nevertheless, he -was game and hung on well. A tremendous crowd gave an ovation to Palmer. CAMPBELL WINS AGAIN. INVERCARGILL, October 24. Allan Campbell defeated George Spencer in a professional heavy-weight content after fifteen rounds. Spacer put up a gaiUy Jght, but'.Campbell was too quick on attack and 100 clever in defence for the Southland man.
