ASSAULT CHARGE

WOMAN HIT WITH BOTTLE. AUCKLAND, October 24

Raymond Lestlie Boreham, aged 28. a carpenter, was remanded to-day on a charge of assaulting a woman so as to cause actual bodily harm, Bail was refused.

This charge follows an assault on Mrs Ethel Mortensen, agd 40 years, proprietress of a teashop in Symonds Street, late on Saturday afternoon, Sh e alleged that she was struck on the bead with a lemonade bottle by a man who was later seen by a neighbour climbing over a fence. The mail then disappeared. The arrest of the suspect Boreham was made yesterday.
