His books- inch’tie “Horace at Cambridge,” “Tillers of the Sand,” “Tn Cap ancl Bells,” “A Harvest cf Chaff,” “W'-’r Time,” “Made in England,” and “From the Home Front.” These are la.gelv reprints of some of his many contr’butions to "Piinoh.” H© was knighted in 191-4, and among the distinctions conferred on him were the lion, degrees of T.-L.D of Edinburgh and D Litt. of Durham.
