WOMAN DISAPPEARS
AFTER EFFECT OF ’QUAKE. (Australian Press Association.) SYDNEY, October 20. Mystery attends the disappearance of a former New Zealand man-led woman, Helen Lewis, aged 55 years. The woman recently walked from Adelaide to Melbourne, and she then began to walk from Melbourne to Sydney for health reasons. Her husband states that ho formerly conducted a business at Napier, and when* the earthquake occurred, his wife’s nerves became so shattered that he came to live in Australia ; but his wife bad never properly recovered from her harrowing Napier experiences.
