tararua power .board member. EKETAHUNA, October 17. As tiki result of a petrol contract between his firm and the board, Mr A. H. Herbert -intimated to the last meeting of the Tararua Electric Power Board that he had been advised by the. 1 Auditor-General that he /automatically forfeited his seat on the hoard. His firm, 'he said, had not actually supplied the board with petrol, ■but had pumped it for an oil company. The chairman, Mr J. D. Wilson, said that all members were sorry that Mr Herbert had to sever connection with the board. They did not regard it as aD offence that iMr Herbert had P™’'posely committed, and all regretted that the incident had occurred. Mr Herbert explained that he would not be eligible for re-appointment " ntll alter pext elections.
