Civil aviation has increased so rapidly in Britain that last year 80,000,000 miles were flown, as compared with 1,000,000 miles in 1919. A .special passenger train will leave Christchurch for Greymouth on Saturday next, at 6 a.nu, arriving at Greymouth at 11.53. On the 1 following Monday (the night of the second day’s racing) ta special train will leave Greymouth at 7:1 5 pun., arriving at Christchurch 1.31 a.m. A Special train will leave Christchurch for Greymouth on Friday at 8.10 a.m., due Greymouth at. 4.30 p.m. It will leave on the return trip on the followTuesday at 6.45 a.m., and will arrive at Christchurch at 2.49 p.m. Those who predicted industrial strife as the result of the amendments to the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act lias fortunately not been borne out by the event so far, com-' meints the "Domiffion.” Quite a number of conciliation councils have reached agreement in their respective industries.
