TRIAL EXPORT SHIPMENTS. ( per Press Association — Copyright.) INVERCARGILL, October 17. The third trial shipment of silver beech from Southland mills, consisting of 5000 feet, is due at London at the end of October. of the industry are already in England.
Another avenue for silver beech is being exploited, the steamer “Cana* dian Constructor” having, on her last voyage from the Bluff, taken a shipment for trial purposes to prominent bobbin manufacturers of Allantown, in Pennsylvania, .TJ.S.A.
