MONKEY TRAPPED
BY FEMALE OF THE SPECIES NEW YORE, October 7. Among the rafters of pier 58, north river harbour, lived a large, smart monkey, since he deserted, ship a month ago after a trip from the African jungles. Ho made a precarious living by raiding the kitchens of nearby restaurants, and ordinary police methods failed to dislodge him. The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals took up his case, and brought along a cute little monkey of the, opposite sex , from a Bronx circus,, where she wa£ known as a successful home-wrecker.
