A pearl of rare size and beauty, weighing eighteen carats, has been obtained at Bahrein, in the Persian Gulf It has been sold at Bombay for several thousand sterling. NEW BRITISH FLAGSHIP. RUGBY, October 11. The cruiser “Hawkins” has left ’ Portsmouth for service as flagship in t!je East., Indies Squadron, in place of the Effingham. The “Hawkins” is due at Bombay on November 10th.
