(Australian Press, Association.) BRADMAN AND THE BOARD. SYDNEY PRESS COMMENT. (Received this dav at 11.15 a.m.) SYDNEY, October 11. The “Herald” says: “As a means of ending the deadlock which threatens to prevent Bradman from representing. Australia in the tests, certain members of the Board of Control are moving to rescind the resolution of the Board which was confirmed at the recent Sydney meeting, and which provides that only a player, “solely” employed in journalism, shall he permitted to write for the press, and play in the tests.” The “Telegraph’s” Melbourne correspondent, says that if Bradman persists in his intention to write, even though he gives an undertaking to the Board not to comment on any player, the final attitude of the Board is that he bo not eligible to play in the tests. This was stated at a meeting of the Board by the chairman, Mr Robertson, after the dash had occurred on the Board’s ruling. pi TATE HO SEE A SPECIALIST. LONDON, October 10. The Marylebone Committee has decided that Tate shall see a specialist to-morrow.
