A huge holt of concrete is France’s safeguard against invasion, declares M. Paul Bernier, Under Secretary for Air, after inspecting France’s new frontier defence system, which Is being completed i:i 1934. He said that fortifications are especially strong on the south-eastern' frontier, adding: “From Brianscn to Nice our chain of fortresses and pill boxes will withstand any attack, even from the air.
