This bright comic opera of Sir Edward German’s depicts life of the Elizabethan period, with its gallantry and knavery. Merrie England is considered one of the best of light operae, being brimful of good music and smart repartee and does not possess a dull moment.

Booking is well in advance, for the enthusiasm of the society and the efficiency -of the performers has caught the lovers of good entertainment. The prices have been reduced to suit the times, viz. 3s and 2s.
