SEX OF CHILDREN
DECISION BY PARENTS. LONDON, September 28. Scientific experiments in connection with the predetenninatoin of sex are reaching an advanced stage. The time • seems to be coming when parents will . be able to decide with, a fair degree - of certainty whether they will have a boy or a girl, a leading London doctor told ►a representative of the “Daily Mail.” I . T.ie doctor was discussing the treatment by Professor Unterberger, of East Prussia, under which a mother desiring a girl takes lactic acid, or bicarbonate 'of soda if she wants a. boy. It is reported that of 78 German mothers who tried the soda treatment, 77 had boys.
The doctor added that- scientists were particularly following Professor Unterberger’s experiments. His tests were particularly interesting because some of the cases had been women whose previous' children were all girls... [After following the treatment they had -beys.
