SURVEYORS’ EXAM'S. (Per Press Association— Copyright.) WELLINGTON, October 6. The Survey Board has concluded the examination for -the registration of surveyors under the reciprocal arrangements with the Australian boards and has declared the following successful.- -R. J. Bagge, J. C. Meale (Napier), D. B. ,Hbpcroft,. A; Reid, A. A. Bailey, R. R. Parsons (Auckland), W. S. M. Organ (Wellington),. C. A. Gdlett (Reefton), E. T. Kensington (Christchurch). FARMERS AINID LABOUR PARTY. PANNEVLRKE, October 7: The following resolutions were passed by the Executive of the Southern Hawke’s Bay Farmers Union:---(1) “This meeting of Southern Hawke’s Bay farmers wishes to associate itself with the remarks of Lord Bled'isloe (Governor-General) on thei Ottawa Conference regards the recent attack on. his Excellency by the leader of the Labour Party (Mr H. Holland) as merely an expression of few thousands employees enjoying the benefits of highly protected industries at a ruinous cost to the whole State.” (2) “That until members of the .Parliamentary Labour Party, who- defended in parliament the dastardly outrages at Auckland and elsewhere against life and property are unconditionally expelled, this meeting representing the small farmers of Southern Hawke’s Bay utterly refutes the opinion expressed by Mr Jordan, M.P., to prove a rift in the Farmers Union over town ,v. country controversy.”
