WALKER DEFEATS DEMETRAL. A'FIERCE SIX ROUNDS. Demetrai was the heal wrestler,, but Walker, tremendously powerful, wore his opponent down towards the end, find in the last two rounds threw him about > the- mat time and again,) slamming him down with <T~succe&sion of throws from wristlocks, side headlocks, and forward ■ , bhancoriies, which • soon had the Greek ; helpless on the mat. Each tried .a neacl-scissors,/ -but Demetral. won . the duel Once- out of ' it, Walker went aften his maii, and Demetral hit the mat . with two hard head-throws. Then tame a - (surprising revere. Walker. slammed his man again, twice, but Demetral turned t-h© tables completely, sihroyAng Walker with a - crutch-throw, and,i following up quickly with a t bodypress, secured -the first fall. A Third Round—A -straight a r mfbar threvy Demetral early in the next round, • out ithe Greek came out best in a tense struggle on the mat. Demetral then! had his man in real difficulty with i, side headlock, throwing .him and'then holding him, 'Walker escaped with difficulty. In a second h 6 was-throw-ing Demetral about , like a baH, but .the Greek had his opponent’s measure, anu raised a laugh with his quick recovery, i’he (wrestlers were soOn in a knot on the mat-, Demetral with a -toe-hoid which qia-de Walker wriggle quickly to the ropes. Fourth Round— ualker sprang like a ’tiger into the ring, and did his best, literally, to jump on the Greek. Demetral took advantage . of-his rushmg tacties and had him pinned on the ropes until -the referee ,had to break the hold. Walker changed, a keylock nmtself to an arm-strangle iu his own favour, but the Greek swung the grip to a v crutch-hold', and Walker had to use all his stiength to get clear. Walker got clear, but Demetral tripped in, and rushing in to follow up an apparent advantage, received the full force, of Walker’s legs in his stomach, and was heavily throwi). Both wrestlers were indulging in plenty of i'orcigle -by-play and surreptitious in-fight-i ing. . Fifth Round—Walker wrestled fiercely ( and four times in success threw the Greek with flying wriatlocks <>r trip Ui-w- which had .Demetral helpless in two minutes, after the round had stai't- • ed. .Walker 'followed the advantage up and in three minutes had his man on his back for the second fall, with ' a living headlock. Sikth Round—Walker again rushed wildly at a greatly revived Demetrai, but the Greek countered with a face arm-bar which bled Walker's mouth and broke his toe-hold. The referee brokd the pair under the ropes.
