THEATRE 'CIRCUIT ARRANGED . WELLINGTON, October 4. The All-British theatre circuit, established in Australia by British Dominion Films, Ltd., is.to be extended iy embrace New Zealand. Mr Ernest Turnbull, managing director of the company announced to-day that arrangements had been completed by which the Plaza Theatre, Auckland, would become permanently an All-Bri-tish Theatre, while provision would also be made for extended seasons of All-British films at the Civic Theatre, Auckaiul. In addition there would be All-British seasons in twenty other theatres throughout the Dominion. Mr Turnbull said that his company had for a long time had in mind the establishing of an “All-British circuit in New Zealand, where British films were just as much in demand as they were in Australia. The ultimate ob : jective was to establish All-Biritish theatres in all the key centres in Austraia. All-British theatres were drawing capacity" houses in -Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, and Brisbane, the Gainsborough film “Sunshine Susie” being the attraction in each State. The opening of the Majestic Theatre in Melbourne, as an All-British theatre, in addition to the Athenaeum I had resulted in the biggest week s Huf:fne/s achieved or nearly three years.
