DIAMONDS
INCREASED- DEMAND. (United Press Association- -By Electric Telegraph- -Copyright.) LONDON, October 5. Better times are coming if the old saying of diamond dealers is correct. “If the stone goes well, all goes well.” Ninety per- cent, of the world’s diamond trau'o passes through London, according'.to an expert interviewed by the “Daily Express.” There is a tendency for big sales. British manufacturing jewellers have been reengaging employees. Over fifteen thousand diamond cutters are working at Antwerp and Amsterdam at increased wages. The prices of diamonds are rising and! if the demand continues there is a likelihood of the mines in South Africa re-opening.
