CLAIM .FOR COMPENSATION. ,/ WELLINGTON, October 3. Claiming that he had been totally incapacitated for 13 weeks as the,result of a fall in which he had fractured his nose, - .Albert Henry ......Townley, waterside' worker, sought compensation, from tire Wellington Harbour Board, in • the, Arbitration Count. Plaintiff said that he was employed as a wharf labourer by the Harbour. Board;on May 16, 1932, when he fell and fractured his nose, which struck a bundle-of steel conduits. As a result of tHe accidein|t, he had been totally; incapacitated for a time. He had been paid £3 Is 7d a. week compensation, until July 1,. but claimed compensation until August 10, after which die had returned to work. . The Harbour Board 1 denied that he was incapacitated after the date of the last, payment. . After-hearing evidence from plaintiff and medical witnesses, ,! Mr Justice Frazer said that the court had had some trouble in reconciling Townley’s statements Ho the. medical witnesses, but from his demeanour in the box the court believed his story and gave judgment for 13 weeks’ compensation less the amounts already naj-cll.
