IN COLOMBO* STREET. (Per Press Association— Copyright.) CHRISTCHURCH, October 5. Damage stated at £2OOO was caused by a fire that partly gutted premises in Central Colombo Street, occupied by Drayton and Coy.; and other firms, in the early morning. The Blaze spread rapidly and at one stage n w'm'e h’oek was threatened, hut the Brigade,, by vigorous efforts, made a good save.
