Questioned regarding rumours of defalcations in the office of the High Coffiinissioner, Hon. Geo. Forbes stated that he regretted that cabled advi<Se\ had been received from Mr Downie Stewart to the effect that 'tjlisappropriations of public money 'Were ! , found as the result of a review of the work' in the High Commission--fer’s- office, by Mr Park, secretary to the-Treasury.
