£looo CLAIM

‘ OVER DISQUALIFICATION. (Per Press Association — Copyright.) ' AUCKLAND, October 4. The action by L. H. Watson, the jockey, against the Auckland District Committee of the New Zealand Racing Conference, was set down for hearing at the Supreme Court to-day. Owing to the filing of an amended statement of defence, the case was stood down to a date to be fixed. The action is the sequel of the disqualification for life of Watson, - after an inquiry into the running of the Buckland Hack Handicap, at Pukekohe, on March 7th, 1931. Watson claims £IOOO damages against the District Committee on the ground that the disqualification was invalid. Watson also asks for a declaration by the Court that - his disqualification should be rescinded. .
