The position brought about, by the local stoppage of the freezing works employees is not at the present moment regarded by the employers as, being at all serious, nor as a .matter for immediate concern. , ' . Neither at Tomoana nor fit Whakatu had killing began, excepting that at Tomoana, killing for abattoir require--ments was being done. The meat which the Napier watersiders declined to load yesterday consisted of small quantities which were part of stocks in hand, and not newly-killed -meat. The season is not yet- due to start in earnest, and Will not be till next week. It is not thought that any developments of real moment are likely to take place meantime. There is little to report in connection with the stoppage.
