WELLINGTON, October 4. .Provided- pedigree cattle were exempted from the provisions of the bill fori the compulsory dehorning ofj cattle, it would' not prove unpopular, ■ .according to Hon. Macmillan, replying 'to .a deputation from 'Wellington live stock butchers Association,, which urged!' compulsory dehorning. He gave - the deputation a sympathetic hearing and indicated he would take, steps this session of Parliament, to introduce hillL ‘- V The deputation stressed the benefit of dehorning, not only from a humanitarian point of view', hut the vjewtpoint of economic loss in damage to, hides and meat. ,
