SCOTCH DISTILLERS
PREPARE WHISKY SHIPMENTS. LONDON, September 26. Scottish distillers conferred at Edinburgh at the week-end to consider plans for rushing thousands' of gallons of spirits to America the moment prohi.bition expires. There are now 100,000,000 gallons of spirits bonded, sufficient to supply Britain’s requirements for ten years. The distillers consider that the reversal by the State of Maine of its traditional prohibition attitude foreshadows the repeal ■of the Volstead Act in the United States.
