A BLACK CAT
GOODWILL TO SUTCLIFFE. LONDON,; September 26. While Viscount Lewisham was speaking about luck’s part in cricket at the M.C.C.’s farewell dinner to the English team for Australia, a black cat which peeped into the room, then nosed' about among the players’ legs. Next it hopped into Sutcliffe’s lap. Sutcliffe put it down, but it jumped back and stayed there, Sutcliffe petting it until the chairman bad finished.
