~ CLAIAI AGAINST COMMITTEE. 5 AUCKLAND, September 28. ' To give evidence in a civil action in Auckland, shortly, the j°ckey, L. H. Watson, who was disqualified for life after ' the inquiry into the running of Royal Survey, in the Buckland Hack Handicap at Pukekohe- in March, 1931, returned to Auckland from Australia by the Alariposa yesterday, Justice Herdman recently refused a request to have Watson’s evidence taken on commission in Perth. AV-atson is plaintiff in the cage against the Auckland District Committee, Mnd is seeking a declaration for j removal of the disqualification, and a j declaration -setting aside the decision j t-hat he was guilty of corrupt and , fraudulent practice, an injunction! against the Opnimitte e and £IOOO i damages.
