OHAI COAL MINES
SIX WEEKS’ IDLENESS ENDS. (Per Press Association— Copyright.) INFER CAR GILL, September 29. After nearly six weeks idleness operations resumed to-day at the Birchwood mine, Ohai, under the conditions of the old agreement with the exception of a slight reduction in wages of two pence per ton. The hire and fire clause previouslly sought by owners we deleted, and the agreement 'operatvs till December 31, 1933.
