War has not been declared, but actual warfare .is at present flaming throughout -South America, covering thousands of miles of .territory. Jt includes one war, on e civil war, and growing fears of a third international conflict as a result of Peru’s alleged forceable occupation of a Colombian townAt least 250 Bolivians and Paraguayans are reported to have been killed in the battle for theof Fort Boqueron, in the disputed Gran Chaco area, during the last two weeks, despite continued diplomatic efforts of neighbouring -countries as well as a commission of neutrals in Washington At Fort Boqueron, according to reports, six thousand Paraguayans have surrounded two thousand Bolivians who are attempting to hold the Fort. Both countries are- now rushing reinforcements there for a definite engagement,
Meanwhile the Brazilian revolution, which has been in progress for almost three months, continues on a largo soale, The Federal troops report having continued their advance, but there has been no decisive action. Both isides are consuming vast quantities of war supplies, which hav*, been imported from Europe and the United State's. The boundary dispute -between Colombia and Peru is growing continually more menacing, with a war spirit raging in both countries.
