PRINCE OF WALES
DENMARK PLIGHT VISIT IS PAID TO GERMANY. (British Official Wireless.) 'RUGBY, September 22. The Prince of Wales, with Iris suite, im the Imperial Ajpvays liner “Heracles,” reached Copenhagen safe’.v this evening. During the latter part of the journey the air liner had been es • coited by fifteen Danish naval and military aircraft. The Prince was the first to leave the 'air liner, and was immediately greeted by the Crown Prince Frederick and other members of the Danish Royal Family and many distinguished figures in' Danish public life, together with the British Minister, Sir Thomas Holder, and other officials present. The Prince received also a mo-t enthusiastic greeting from a crowd of many thousands assembled at Kastrup Aerodrome. The weather somewhat retarded the Pr-nc e s arrival. After leaving Croydon this morning, strong head winds, reaching ga’e force had been encountered over the channel, and this made the journey longer than expected. The landed at' Amsterdam, where the Prince had a light, lunch before the journey was continued to Hamburg. It was the first occasion on which the Prince ret foot on Gorman soil since the war. Most members of the British colony were among the great who /assembled at the aerodrome to greet him. After a forty minutes’ halt the giant plane get off on the last ®tage ot it® fl ig ht - The Prince is expected to remain 'at Copenhagen for about a week, and will pay a private visit to the King and Queen of Denmark. When he opens the British Exhibition on Saturday he will be accompanied by the Crown Prince of Denmark. At the end of the month the Prince will pay his first visit to Stockholm and wFI be the guest of the King and Queen of Sweden.
