Dodfrr Hal, ai farmer AttorneyGeneral for New South Wales, who has just returned from, New Zealand, said that, from his observations, the people of New Zealand were not nearly so much affected by the depression as the people ini New South Wales. “I spent more than three weeks in A'uiekl'an'd 'anid (Wellington, aind no beggar asked roe for a shilling, no street musician sang to me, and no pavement artist sought to evoke charity. New Zealand seems to have many untouched .sources of revenue which have been fully exploited in Australia.”
